i can’t help it. i have to see what they’ve got on special.
I spend a lot of time on the Heath Ceramics site. Planning mental dinner parties. Working out color combinations. Drooling over the gorgeously styled and photographed pieces. They are well-crafted with such an interesting history. I’m trying to figure out what’s next on the “Own, Please. Thx!” list.
I’m a bit overwhelmed by the collective recession depression. I feel like I keep getting hit with this ‘frugalista’ stick/shtick. Doesn’t costing little become relative when you have to keep replacing the cheap stuff? I can find a bargain at the dollar store and I believe in paying for quality.
It’s time to take a step back and be a patientista. I’m allowing myself to dream and believe, instead of deny and deprive. That and like Dessie said, “Save, save, save!” I may not purchase when I pop in the store today or tomorrow, but a full cupboard of Heath Ceramics will be mine.

If you’ve got a little Heath Ceramics love in your heart, but not nearby, the online specials are a great way to get your feet wet. If this dinner plate was opaque white, the 30% off would have me pulling out the debit card.
Don’t forget to check out the seasonal collection. I’m so playing house with these. Come home, Salad & Chez Panisse Cookbook. It’s getting late.

Do you actually want to read these classic books? I don’t want to read them, and I actually love books. For what’s between the covers.
I do want to read them. Buying them, different story. If they become something I want to keep, then these would be the ones I would purchase.
I like design. Just as much as I’m into these covers, I’m turned off by those with the O stamp of approval and the cast from the movie. I still want the work. I’ll just find another edition. ♥
