  1. Beautiful girl, what do you do with the produce after you photograph it? I assume that you cook it and eat it. I’d like to hear more about those processes, especially as the seasons change. The sky in Waukegan is cloudy and gray, and the blowing wind is quite cold. Do y’all have autumn in southern California?

  2. I just wrote a lovely reply and forgot to, well, hit reply. Grrrr…. I’ll return to you and your lovely request a bit later today. ♥

  3. I love kale with some soy sauce and a little bit of garlic (I’ve been spoiled by Whole Foods, I guess), but I’m not adventurous enough to make it for myself. Do you have any ideas for overcoming a cooking block?

  4. Adventurous? I think you’ve got lots of wander and gumption in them bones. So, let’s expand on this block. Do you know what else might keep you from trying? Are you made timid by recipes? Do you endlessly wonder the best ways to utilize fresh ingredients? What stops you from making this kale you love?
I’ve been excited by a lot of simple flavors lately. Like the Yu Choy that I hadn’t been able to have all summer. So amazing and yet so simple with just a bit of garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil. I should be able to get some at the market tomorrow. I’ll make it for you. It really is just something simple that makes me beyond happy and satisfied. ♥
