Cucumbers | Ginger | Onions | Kale | Tomatoes
Not sure why I bought Japanese cucumbers. I just did. The problem with taking so long to post will be apparent after the period. I haven’t the slightest idea what happened to them.

Were you thinking of pickles when you bought the Japanese cucumbers?
I remember your father giving me such a look when I assured him that I didn’t know that the bread and butter pickles I had been gobbling were made from cucumbers. The look said, FOOL, WHAT VEGETABLE DID YOU THINK THEY CAME FROM? This probably happened when I was in high school.
What was I thinking? What I tend to think in these situations: Um, perty. Really, I’m drawn to color and shape. I love when you tell stories of Jack. LOVE. You know he was the one to kick off the Veg-life in our house back in the 70s. Throwing away all that was junk and/or white. Introducing brown rice. All that was him. For a bit, at least. Then, post D-I-V-O…, he made stroganoff, beef stroganoff. Mmm, who’s got the vegan sour cream and egg-less egg noodles? I’m hungry. ♥
